In just 50 years, Singapore has transformed from a third-world country into the world’s third-richest. A metropolis where 1 in 6 people are millionaires. StarHub, as a mass-market home brand for everyone, wanted to remind Singaporeans: Singapore isn’t just home to the rich and prosperous. it is home to everyone. Everyone, including the less fortunate. So on Singapore’s big 50th birthday, we shone a light on Singaporeans from Welfare Homes. Folks from Children’s Shelters, Old-Age Homes, Special Needs Homes and Halfway Houses – we made them the stars of our National Day campaign. We re-imagined Singapore’s No.1 National Day song, “Home”. And got the Homes to sing it. We called it “Home by Homes”. And on National Day, we released our special remake on national TV, online, on radio and in cinemas. Interviews and showcases were arranged with the media. And before long, our performers were no longer just the stars of our campaign; they were famous.
